Terraced Rice Fields of Tegallalang

One of the most popular spots to visit in the Ubud area are the terraced rice fields of Tegallalang. Just a ten minute drive north on the road to Mt. Batur you will take in one of the best sights in Bali. It is a great spot to stop for a cool drink and marvel at how these amazing rice fields were created.
Monkey Forest

The Sacred Monkey Forest is situated right in the middle of Ubud, at the bottom of Monkey Forest Road. This is well worth the visit to be entertained by the monkeys, and to enjoy the natural jungle environment. Within the Monkey Forest are three temples, and some unique stone structures and carvings.
Ubud Market

The heart of most places in Bali is the market, and this is no different in Ubud. Situated on the corner of Monkey Forest Road and Ubud Main Road you will find a hive of activity for both locals and tourists.
Pura Goa Gajah

Only ten minutes to the west of Ubud is the popular Pura Goa Gajah, or Elephant Cave Temple. This temple dates to the 11th century, when Hinduism was relatively new to Bali. The elephant cave is accessed through the open mouth of an elephant’s head that is carved into a massive rock. The cave was in ruins and essentially buried under earth and debris until 1924, when it was unearthed, restored and opened to the public.
White Water Rafting
If you are looking for a little action, there is no better way to see some unique parts of Bali than a trip down the river in an inflatable raft. There are a number of tours operating in close proximity to Ubud.
Elephant Safari Park
The Elephant Safari Park is just North of Ubud and is acclaimed as the worlds best elephant park. Get up close and personal with these incredible animals in a beautiful tropical setting.
Mt. Batur Cycling Tour

One of the best ways to see the spectacular countryside and the mountain scenery of Bali is on a cycling tour. Riding downhill on modern mountain bikes through quiet villages that expose the heart of Bali. There are a number of different tour companies that operate this tour.
